A Four Seasons spa tour of Egypt

After a rewarding but intense week soaking in Egypt's 5,000 years, I was in need of some serious down time and a very different kind of immersion. Some Four Seasons spa experiences seemed just what I needed!
First, to Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, a desert palace on the Red Sea, where I opted for the Cleopatra Treatment. Soon I was submerged in the milky warm waters of the big-enough-for-two, terrazzo-tiled bath, to which honey and the essential oil of rosemary had been added to soothe and soften my skin. Basking in the glow of flickering candles and the fragrance of fresh rose petals, I dreamily contemplated the pleasures of living like a queen.
Entering Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, I was struck by its tranquil, unhurried feel, such a counterpoint to the city outside. The calm was reinforced as my Papyrus Wrap began. Following an ancient Egyptian purifying ritual, I was lightly covered from top to toe in a pleasurably warm, aromatic balm of mint and honey, then wrapped in papyrus. Body thus cosily cocooned, my mind drifted while I was given first a facial, then a head massage. After rinsing in soft water fragrant with lemon slices and rose petals, my therapist began a full-body massage. I floated away into reverie, the exotic essence of lotus capping all that had come before.

Across the Nile, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza is a lively city hotel yet surprisingly resort-like, especially the fifth level, where spa and fitness merge with a rooftop terrace of heated pools and private cabanas. I had booked a Pharaonic massage – perfect after my return, laden with the bounty of a morning's excursion to the bazaar. My therapist dipped an aromatic poultice filled with fresh chamomile and mint into warm essential oils, then firmly applied it to my overworked muscles. Soon I was ready for my Swedish massage. Afterwards, I lazed on a soft cotton daybed and gazed out to the Nile.
For my next Egyptian voyage, I'm looking forward to visiting the two-storey spa in Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, which has recently opened. I've learned that the treatments there have been inspired by the Mediterranean and there are both sunlit and candlelit treatment rooms. Can a spa inspire an entire journey? In my case -- most definitely!

Near the manor born: eating "local" in the English countryside

"Eat local." It's a delicious idea and there's a bushel of reasons why: the food's fresher and more flavourful; you can give back to your community's economy; and you can be kind to the environment, since less energy is required to transport the food. But for on-the-go city dwellers, the reality of eating local often means grabbing a street dog between meetings or a pizza slice on the way home.

Imagine taking a holiday from processed food of unknown origin and truly living off the land. Now there is a place you could savour gooey cheeses, crisp salad leaves and tender pork sourced less than 50 miles from your plate. On the rolling estate of Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, just an hour from London, eating local is a culinary way of life.

In the village of Mapledurwell, just seven miles away, verdant watercress fills the fields — and eventually your bowl, in the Hotel's signature Watercress Soup. Double-cream butter is churned specially for Four Seasons a mere 46 miles away. And as for rich meats, beef and lamb are raised on the property itself; it doesn't get much more local than that.

The celebrated Seasons restaurant has even created a Farmers' Market Brunch to showcase the most delectable local produce. The meal's ingredients — from the eggs to the marmalade — have travelled a total of no more than 500 miles to reach the Hotel's kitchen, a short trip compared to the 35,000 miles logged by the average Sunday lunch in the UK.

So if you're salivating for a taste of what "home cooking" really means, take a peek at all that Seasons has to offer.

Seasons
Seasons offers inspired menu selections and a thoughtfully chosen wine list of popular vintages. This elegant restaurant features a French/European menu, executed with contemporary style and complemented by outstanding service. The interior design takes full advantage of the abundant natural daylight cascading through the French windows, which frame the beautiful grounds of Dogmersfield Park. An outdoor terrace is also available seasonally for breakfast and lunch. Seats 100.

Seasons benefits from an adjacent private dining room. Seasons Salon Privé is an ideal location for groups or parties of up to 24. Menus can be individually catered for each event, and à la carte restaurant menus are also available.

Tee off by the Indian Ocean

Although Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita won't open until midyear, you can already hit the links at the new championship Four Seasons Golf Course on the Indian Ocean island.

Designed by Ernie Els, one of the world's top players, the 18-hole, par-72 course is set against green mountains and a crystal-clear turquoise lagoon, concluding with six oceanside holes. The finish is among the most beautiful of any course on the Indian Ocean.

"You have spectacular rocky outcroppings, large native trees and jaw-dropping views of the mountains and ocean," Els said.

The course's wide fairways and five sets of tees make it inviting to golfers of all skill levels.

Four Seasons Golf Academy, which is connected to the course, can help you improve all aspects of your game, and a studio makes detailed video and computer swing analysis possible.

You also can warm up in the practice areas which include a large driving range and chipping greens.

Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita
Designed by Ernie Els, Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita is a 7,580-yard, 18-hole, par-72 championship course with large fairways and five sets of tees. Six stunning oceanfront holes culminate in a final shot that is among the most spectacular in the world.

Built to USGA standards, it is the first of its kind in Mauritius. Carefully woven into the tropical sanctuary, the course is set against lush mountains and fringed by the vast crystal-clear lagoon.

The Golf Academy offers instruction and private lessons, and the Clubhouse is equipped to enhance any golfer's game. The club also features a driving range, putting green and Pro Shop. Tee times are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. One-hour golf clinics are offered daily on a complimentary basis to Resort guests.

Four Seasons Magic Macau

There's an intoxicating mix of colour, texture, and taste throughout Macau, the tiny former Portuguese colony, which has been a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China since 1999.

Along the noisy, narrow cobblestone streets of the old town, shop owners call out to you to sample their offerings of barbecued pork, peanut candy and flaky flour biscuits filled with bean paste. Street stalls hawk everything from clothes to fruits to local snacks. Modern boutiques and antique shops sit cheek by jowl with incense-filled temples and 19th-century churches.

In 2005, The Historic Centre of Macau was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charming examples of colonial Macanese architecture, in fairytale colours of pink, blue, green and yellow, trimmed in white, can be found in many places. Portuguese street names, uttered in Cantonese accents, delight the ear.

The cuisine is a delicious blend of traditional Portuguese and Chinese, centering on fresh seafood. The legendary egg tarts are a must - crisp, custardy and warm from the oven - making it impossible to stop at just one.

Macau also has an up-to-date, stylish side. Reclaimed from the sea between the two islands of Colôane and Taipa, the Cotai Strip is quickly becoming the Las Vegas of the East. A kaleidoscope of hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues, it will be one of the world's great playgrounds in the future.

In the midst of this, forming the perfect complement, lies the intimate Four Seasons Hotel Macao at The Cotai Strip, set to open in mid-2008, dressed in discreet neoclassical elegance. The Hotel offers guests easy access to the best of the Cotai Strip: upscale shopping, gaming, dining and entertainment, yet quiet and removed. Once inside, you can unwind at the Hotel's spa or take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Then, perhaps, visit Bar Azul for a glass of wine before dinner and an evening in your stylish room.

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul Reviews

“Stay here at least once in your life”
Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul

Upon our arrival to the four seasons we immediately fell at home, we were given a room on the second floor overlooking the street. The room was huge, and the bathroom incredible. Amenities were superbe with courtesy mineral water and fresh fruit every day refreshed. Hotel staff was over 5 stars, this is what I call luxury service, the most often pronounced words were “certainly” and each guests names. In fact, they made us feel as if they knew us from a long time. Just an example of what you can expect in this hotel as service… one night, the room service housekeeper , while he was servicing our room at night, saw me bare foot (I had just taken my shoes off) and he immediately came over and slipped on a pair of warm slippers for me to heat up my feet. It is these kind of details that truly make a distinction in one hotel.

If I could describe the feeling upon entering this hotel is that of happiness and well being, as soon as you enter the doorway and you see the incredible flower setup in the lobby you are set for a big smile.

Not everything was so perfect, we indeed had a problem with our room on the third day of our stay, there was a leak from the room upstairs. Yet the service once again was unbeatable! We were immediately upgraded to an executive four seasons room which was even bigger than our first room and overlooking the garden. Thousands apologies and the most rapid service that I have ever seen in my life.

Concierges were incredible, always ready to help in any way, and recommending outstanding restaurants (not necessarily touristy or luxurious)
Sunday brunch was just amazing – delicious!

Car service to the airport was pure luxury. A silver bmw sedan drove us to the airport, this included the kindest driver, some Turkish delights for us to eat and some refreshments. I wanted to stop by a shopping center to do some shopping and the driver graciously waited for us while we shopped.

All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! It is an absolutely priviledge being able to spend just a day at this four seasons! so in conclusion, do stay here at least once in your life!

Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills Reviews

“Wonderful every time”
Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

I live in Los Angeles and my girlfriends and I spend one weekend per year at this hotel for a shopping weekend. It really cannot be beat in my opinion (and I have stayed at many hotels in the area including the other Four Seasons). The rooms are luxurious, the bar is fun, you will see stars if that's your thing, the service is excellent, the room service food is even delicious. Best of all, you can go shopping all day and the house car (which by the way is a Phantom) will pick you up and take you to your next spot. This hotel is located perfectly for all shopping and eating in Beverly Hills - close to Wilshire, Beverly and Robertson shopping.

“Wonderful Experience”
Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

While at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, I stayed in an Executive Suite on the 10th floor. I had a balcony, overlooking the city.

As soon as I arrived, I was treated with the utmost respect and politeness. Everyone on the staff was pleasant, and willing to do whatever it took to make my stay the best it could be. The food was excellent; and the 24-hour room service was a plus, especially when travelling from the East coast and having to switch time zones. My room was always thoroughly clean and tidy, and the turn-down service was a nice end to a long work day. The beds were also very comfortable, along with the pillows.

The location was great because Wilshire Blvd is just a few blocks away, which leads to many businesses in Beverly Hills. However, the hotel is tucked nicely away amongst what appeared to be residential buildings, so the noise level is not bothersome. It's quiet at night, and peaceful during the day.

All in all, after being at the Four Seasons for a week, I was very pleased with my experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveler coming to Beverly Hills.

FOUR SEASONS EMPLOYEES NAME COMPANY TO FORTUNE "100 BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR" LIST

Four Seasons Makes List for 11th Consecutive Year

TORONTO, Canada – January 22, 2008 – Recently, a guest at Four Seasons Resort Maui got her custom-made wedding dress caught in the car door, leaving multiple puncture holes. With only a few short hours to go before the bride was to wear it down the aisle, she was understandably panicked. Thinking on their feet, the Resort’s Housekeepers promptly sent the guest to the spa to relieve her tension while they set about artfully mending the gown by adding stylish appliqués. Thanks to their resourcefulness, the bride had the dress she had always dreamed of.

With a supportive system behind them and the trust of coworkers and superiors, Four Seasons employees are able to make decisions independently, thinking in human terms about what each guest wants and needs. The result is warm, genuine and personalized service delivered every day, often in unexpected ways.

“In North America and around the world, all 35,000 Four Seasons employees go above and beyond the call of duty to make the guest experience all the more rewarding,” said Isadore Sharp, chairman and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Our employees wake up each day thinking of new ways to make each guest’s stay memorable, and we are honoured they have recognized us again this year.”

For the 11th consecutive year, Four Seasons has been named by FORTUNE magazine as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For,” ranking 88th. Four Seasons is one of only 14 organizations that have the distinction of being named to the list every year since its inception. Once again, Four Seasons is the only Canadian company to make the list.

“Hospitality is one of the most people-intensive businesses,” said Nick Mutton, executive vice-president, human resources, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “In our business, people are the product like in no other industry. We are very fortunate to have and retain such committed, talented individuals and we thank them for this honour.”

The “100 Best Companies to Work For” list is compiled for FORTUNE by Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz of the Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco. Companies are selected for the list primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work Survey. For more information on the list and how it is compiled, visit www.greatplacetowork.com.

The FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For” list is the latest honour in a year marked with accolades for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, Four Seasons was named by Gallivanter’s Guide as the “Best Hotel Group Worldwide” in their 2007 Awards of Excellence. Four Seasons properties also dominated Travel + Leisure’s 2007 World’s Best Awards Readers’ Poll and Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2007 earning more spots on the lists than any other hotel company. At home, Four Seasons ranked second on The Financial Post List of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Information on the company and its 48 years of achievement in the hospitality industry can be accessed through the Four Seasons Web site at www.fourseasons.com.

Four Seasons inks deal for downtown New York hotel

The hotel will take up 22 stories of developer Larry Silverstein's planned 80 story tower at 99 Church St., one block north of Ground Zero.

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts announced today that it has signed an agreement with developer Larry Silverstein to open its first property in the city in 15 years.

The new hotel will be at 99 Church St., one block north of Ground Zero. The agreement to build it marks another important step in the revitalization of downtown.

The hotel will take up 22 stories of the planned 80 story tower, which will also include 143 condominiums, making it New York’s tallest residential structure. It will be built on the site of the former headquarters of Moody’s Corp. The building, which is being designed by noted New York architect Robert A.M. Stern, is expected to be completed in 2011.

The 175-room Four Seasons will feature luxury amenities, including a spa, an indoor pool and a restaurant.

The chain’s midtown outpost, the Four Seasons 57th Street, currently ranks as the most expensive hostelry in the city. Its downtown outpost will be the second super luxury property in the neighborhood, just blocks away from the six-year-old Ritz Carlton Battery Park, which is undergoing its first major renovation later this year.

Construction of the new hotel is being managed by Tishman Construction Corp. and is expected to begin in June. Demolition of the existing building began last October.

The project was announced this morning at a press conference sponsored by the Alliance for Downtown New York.

“Larry Silverstein helped jump-start lower Manhattan by rebuilding 7 World Trade Center,” said Elizabeth Berger, president of the business improvement district. “Larry’s ongoing development of the World Trade Center site and his new project at 99 Church St. are reasons why Lower Manhattan is a global model for urban centers of the 21st century.”

Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group will handle the residential sales.

Four Seasons Maui Reviews

“Service with a capital S”
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

We had the privilege to stay here from 1/24/08-1/26/08. We hopped over to Maui from the big island and were transported into a completely different experience. We checked in early and were promptly greeted w/leis and escorted to the check in desk. Rooms were not available yet - and we didn't expect them to be - but they took our cell phone numbers and called us at 1:15 to let us know our room was ready. My husband waited for about 10 minutes for the bellman to bring up our bags. We were able to use the facilities until our room was ready so we hung out at the pool. The pool is very nice and clean. The poolside cabanas are first come first serve - and free!!! The pool attendants were on the ball and set us up right away. They were good about clearing out chaises that were left for a long time and not returned to. The pool attendants come by very often w/fresh ice water and fruit. The temperature of the water was perfect as was the hot tub temp.

The room was beautiful. We had a king room w/a sofa and a table and 2 chairs The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was huge. There is a vanity, double sinks, a full soaking tub , separate shower, and separate toilet room. There were plenty of bath towels, facecloths, etc. The l'Occitane bath/hair products were of excellent quality. The bathroom was cleaned up and replenished every evening as well as every day. They have a hairdryer, q-tips and cotton squares as well. I really liked the light up makeup mirror.

The resort is very pretty - Very upscale - marble floors and quiet elegance. There are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the quiet. There are several stations of coffe/water/tea throughout the resort also. The valet attendants offer bottles of water every time you leave or return. I really appreciated that. They have a nice game room w/pool tables, foosball, pingpong, shuffleboard, 2 complimentary computers, tvs, and a 6 station x-box room. All complimentary. They offer several fitness classes - a couple of which have a $10 charge, but many of which are free. The workout room/weight room are more than adequate. They provide towels, water, gatorade, headphones, fresh fruit. Again, no charge for using the workout area. There is alos a business center next to the concierge w/free computer usage and copying which is helpful in printing out boarding passes. The concierge is very helpful as well.

The restaurants are pricey. Dinner for 4 w/2 apps, 4 entrees, 4 salads,1 dessert, 5 drinks, tax & tip came to $500 at Ferraros. Breakfast buffet was $32/pp. Dinner at Duo and Spago will run you as much if not more than Ferraros.

This is an awesome resort. The finest place I have ever stayed in and w/the best customer service I have ever received. You wont be disappointed if you stay here.

“Our favorite Maui hotel for 15 years”
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

We found the FS Wailea when it was being built and have stayed 5-10 days each January or December each year except 07. We just left after spending 5 nights there. We absolutely LOVE this hotel. The staff there is amazing. They are all so cordial and friendly. Even the gardeners say hello! The staff is also very accomodating. One day we walked to a hotel nextdoor for lunch. I asked for half a sandwich and was told I could only order a whole sandwich there. That would have never happened at the FS. They always aim to accomodate guests wishes (if reasonable)! We've always felt so pampered there. This year we found things were even better. The redecorated rooms are beautiful. The large flat screen tv's are great and a way to put in a memory card and display pictures you've taken. They have new matresses that are wonderful! The food in all the restaurants seemed to be even more delicious than ever before! The first floor restaurant has just been beautifully remodeled and is now called DUO. Their breakfast buffet is fabulous. Their beach is awesome!! All in all, this is an EXCEPTIONAL treat. Each year, we can't wait to return!

Four Seasons Maui is one of the finest resorts to stay if you are in search of ultimate luxury. If you are the one who enjoys proximity to nature, then Four Seasons Maui is indeed the place for you. Situated along the shores of Wailea, one can rejuvenate their body, soul and mind at Maui's resorts at perfect ease. And if you need to pamper yourself then there are body treatments available under the thatched roofs of the Spa at Four Seasons which is best known for their expertise in such ventures.

If you want to revitalize your senses and want the ultimate repose, then Maui has several massage techniques and spa treatments to offer you, which will enable complete relaxation. The spa treatments range from Vichy showers to stimulating body wraps. Apart from this, there are yoga and Gyrokisesis programs at the break of the dawn which are provided by a personal instructor. Encircled by beautiful beaches and attended by pool attendants ready for attend your every little demand, you can enjoy the best of the luxury that this world can offer. You will never want to look back if you the visit the place once. The urge to frequent the place will still linger in your mind, such is its charm.

And if you are a perfect foodie, then the Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante, is always at hand, with its mouth savoring fresh seafood and other Hawaiian delicacies. Ferraro's baked focaccia and lobster risotto are so mouth watering, that you will always find it hard to resist the temptation. If Italian food is more in your line, then the resort even has exceptional provisions for it, along with excellent beachside services, which makes the whole experience even more intriguing.

Four Seasons Maui also has spacious guest rooms, each of which offers a view of the oceans, beautiful hillocks and gardens, which makes it even more appealing. King size beds, marble floor bathrooms and the spacious balconies, to hang out when one feels the need for fresh air are some of the other luxuries of the Four Seasons Maui, making it an ideal holiday destination, for families and romantic escapades.

If you are the one, who loves to indulge in sporting activities, while on holiday, then Four Seasons Maui even has tennis courts to proffer you. But then if you are one of those, who are more inclined towards golf, then the Robert Trent Jones II designed course, spread over an area of 7000 yards, at a few minutes distance, away from the resort, armed with amenities of a championship course, is just the place for you.

In all, the over all experience at the Four Seasons Maui is exhilarating; something to remember and look forward to, even when one is busy, jostling with the city life. The coast of Hawaii casts a spell even over those, who only have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of it in the pictures, through the internet or travel booklets. One visit to the place and it leaves people absolutely spellbound and mesmerized! A lifetime experience is perhaps the only way to describe it. An absolute haven when you are in a mood for a holiday.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Reviews

“We can't get enough of the Four Seasons”
Four Seasons Hotel New York

We stayed again at the Four Seasons NY, for my son's birthday celebration.
It's hard not to like this place, where they pamper you endlessly, even if you're not a celebrity.
During the Christmas season, there's a "beany baby" tree in the lobby, which the kids get to pick from at every meal, or just walking by. (The hotel is owned by Ty Warner, creator of Beanie Babies)

We always opt to include breakfast with the rate, because we will eat the extra 60$ they charge to include it. There was a stay 2 nights, get 1 free, so it almost made it reasonable in cost.

The location is great if you're looking to stay near the park, and the shopping is extremely close as as well.

“Astonishing Palace - Wonderful Four Seasons”
Four Seasons Hotel New York

Wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Hotel New York so far the finest Hotel I have ever stayed in. My experience has been amazing if I value the physical features of the Hotel (including interior and exterior design/architecture) as well as the quality of service I received by all the staff, commencing from the doorman at your arrival.

The Hotel is a 52-story building at a premier location 57 East 57 Street, between Park and Madison Avenue. For some reasons – such as the masonry building and the punched windows – it reflects the perfect tradition of New York and fits in it gorgeously, whereas in a different way itself stands alone: it is not a flat building but a light limestone cascade which creates an inviting scale for the main entrance. At each corner is set a lantern which at night create an invitation from the outside. The light honey colour of the limestone tower gives you a sense of well being and when you are inside it is all a surprise.

Lobby
Impressive, high ceiling with columns, onyx and limestone composes the foyer which is open onto the terraced lobby lounges on both sides. On one side there is 57 Restaurant and on the other side you have the TY Bar.

Front Office/Concierge
The reception is located past to the Concierge’ desk, which is in front of the main entrance. Staff is excellent – kind prompt friendly – they always come with a smile. Check-in is was quick and although the Hotel was fully committed we did not have to wait for our room to be ready. With the Concierge we only arranged a couple of sightseeing plus booked 2 dinner and experienced their insightful knowledge.

Room
Larger than average Deluxe Room, even for NY standards with plenty of space for a comfortable sitting area with a divan, armchair – seating for 3 people with a large coffee table. The FS beds are marvellous all over the world, I would love to buy one for my home.

There is a large oval table which serves either as a working desk either as a dining table. At the desk you do have the cable for the Internet connection, a printer/fax/scanner at your disposal and all the electrical devices for your laptop. The table faces the huge glass window, which itself overlooked the bustling 57th Street. Even if you are not staying at top floor – we were at 28th – you would definitely enjoy stunning views of the city.

Upgrade
On our seventh and last night, we have been upgraded to an enormous 93 square metres studio-one-bedroom suite on the 50th floor (see picture). We enjoyed breathtaking views of Manhattan either at day and night and there was also a private terrace which we – unfortunately - cannot take advantage of because of a tight working schedule. All of our baggage have been packed and unpacked for the room move, but you have to authorize them for that.

Bathroom
Huge full marble bathroom with ample space. Features: englassed walk-in shower and separated bath-tub that really fills-in within 60 seconds, it is a promise – perfect for a last minute relaxing bath after a long day of work or sightseeing. Luxurious Bulgari Amenities that are replenished twice daily. Excellent turn down service as per the picture and very nice touch the plasma TV screen.

Restaurants
We dine once at the outstanding l’Atelier de Joel Robuchon where we experienced an excellent service. The ambience is sophisticated and elegant yet casual. The kitchen is open onto the dining area and you can see the Chef at work, which is basically the meaning of the word “Atelier”. The dishes are tasteful – even if you are not a French cuisine fan – and presentation is top notch. You can even choose less formal dining options such as Express Menu which we enjoyed at the fairly reasonable price of USD 54.

If you are looking for something less ambitious the 57 Restaurant is good as well and overlooks the main lobby. Great for business breakfast and/or lunch.

At the TY Bar you can choose among a wide range of Martinis for appetizers or cocktails. This is facing the main lobby too, with a very nice fireplace.

Breakfast:
It is not buffet, of course, and you can choose among the most sophisticated combination of cold and hot dishes according to your low fat diet, or choose a Breafast Menu such as American/Continental/Japanese/Central Park: I loved the Central Park Menu and also tried the Japanese one with the finest grilled salmon and green tea I have ever tried. All of them are approximately at USD 30, except for the Japanese USD 47, which is not that much for what it is included. One breakfast menu can be sufficient for 2 persons or even for three.
Fitness Centre:
500 square metres of space for your daily routine with complimentary juice/water and cut fruits. A wonderful experience to start or end your day in the city, better if combined with the Spa.

Spa:
Whirlpool, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath are perfect for relaxing in a tranquil environment. Did not have massage/treatments and cannot judge on the quality and service but it certainly is overpriced.

Negatives:
Do not have a swimming pool and the spa area needs much more air and open spaces.

Room features
I would have chosen parquet floors, instead of carpets, to give much more elegance to the room fittings.

Room Service:
Overpriced, in fact each dish is not inclusive of service charge, delivery charge, 17% tax and sales tax and - of course - you have to tip the waiter. If you are on budget, go for an a la carte breakfast in the restaurant.

Business Centre: the fee is expensive (i.e. 10 USD access + 1 USD per min + taxes) therefore, 1 hour for checking the e-mails and printing few pages comes to more than 70 USD. They should not charge for it and offer as complimentary.

Overall experience
This is definitely a place to stay in New York City.

Sophisticated and elegant, the interior glistens with rich details in light wood and black and red lacquer – blending the style of French designer Pierre-Yves Rochon with the iconic architecture of I.M. Pei. In keeping with its atelier (artist’s workshop) approach, the heart of the restaurant is the open kitchen – allowing guests to watch the culinary team at work.

His casual French style shows a strong affection for Asian cuisine, with its simplicity of presentation, pure and flavourful sauces, and concentration on single, perfect ingredients.

A nightly tasting menu is featured for those who cannot decide among the à la carte choices. Small portions are thoughtfully offered, allowing guests to create their own multi-course Robuchon experience.

Preparing the signature cuisine of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is Executive Chef Yosuke Suga and his team. Chef Suga was personally trained by Chef Robuchon and most recently reigned over the kitchen of L’Atelier in Tokyo.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta Reviews

“The best hotel in Atlanta”
Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

Personally, I am an extremely hard grader on hotels. A hotel has to absolutely perfect for me to give a full five stars, but here it is: I have given this property my extremely rare five stars.

Upon entering the lobby, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Although this property is fairly old, it has been kept in fairly good condition. A nice renovation has also taken place.

The moderate room is perhaps one of the largest standard hotel rooms in the city at 42 square meters (450 square feet). The bathroom is fairly large with a separate tub and a glass-enclosed shower. There are plenty of towels and robes. The one-king bed is extremely grand and comfortable with two bedside tables. The LG flat-screen television is of very high resolution, and included in the entertainment is a DVD player, which is extremely rare for inclusion in a hotel room. The view outside the room, although only on the seventh floor, is also a fairly nice one of midtown.

Our occupancy was a party of three. Upon booking, there was a choice between [one king bed] and [two twin beds]. We typically prefer two beds, but these beds were twin beds, which are extremely small, so we picked the one king bed. For a hotel room of 450 square feet, we would expect that two queen beds or at least two double beds would fit in the room. We would certainly not stay in a room with two twin beds; it is simply too small. This situation is not a major issue, but it is preferred that they switch the twin beds to at least double beds.

The pool and fitness area was set up extremely nicely. The locker rooms included pretty much everything. Each locker contained a robe, a laundry bag, slippers, and a digital combination lock. There were towels everywhere, and there is a butler who comes every 15 minutes to make sure that there is a towel placed in every single shower for the next guest to use. There were even extra towels placed on each bench at the pool and complimentary bottled water everywhere. This standard of hotel service is probably the best that we have ever experienced.

The price that we paid for this room was $240. It is worth the price ONLY if the guest takes advantage of the service and facilities, and it is worth the price maybe once every few months. Unless you are multi-millionaires, we recommend that you do not stay at a Four Seasons hotel every time you travel. This level of expense is worth trying once every few months, but if you travel once every week, do not expect that it is worth it. At this level of luxury, the Four Seasons Atlanta is without doubt very very addicting (we did not want to leave), but don't waste your money on just a hotel room.

“Wonderful service, great hotel”
Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

There is not much to add to what has already been written. This was our 4th stay at the Four Seasons in Atlanta. The 4th was a charm, because of a mistake, we were up graded to a SUITE! We usually stay in the premium room, which is very nice and comfortable. But the suite was absolutely heaven! We were jumping up and down like silly kids at our luck! We did not want to leave the room!

Because we had our child with us ,we were worried about dining at Park 75, but they were so accommodating. The food was excellent. The Risotto with truffle oil was superb.

During our 1st stay there was a problem with my spa appointment, but they were prompt to fix the problem and even sent me a certificate for a free service. Oh, if all hotels were like this!

If you want excellent service, great food and a beautiful hotel stay here.
